In this first of our food workshop offerings, Ryan will present a hands-on experience in the kitchen side of the space.
We will play with creating quite simple and healthy whole plant based snack foods that would be perfect substitutes/upgrades to anything we might traditionally turn to as 'junk'.
Dishes will include:
- Spicy Sprouted Nuts
- Cheesy Kale Chips
- Herbed Flax Crackers
- Seasoned Popcorn
These dishes will be created using simple appliances, including the option of a dehydrator/oven (raw/cooked). Popcorn will be made in hot air popper, but stovetop method will be touched on as well.
Method will be an important highlight, but principles in flavoring and combination simplicity & harmony will be keypoints.
Attendees will get to sample pre-made versions of our creations, a complimentary glass of kombucha, and a take-away portions of each snack creation.
